Sonny Yada`s introduction to the game of golf began when he was introduced to golf by a friend. Sonny enjoyed the process of learning and played amateur golf before becoming a teaching professional. He has taught lessons since 2004 and he continues to be a student of the game. Sonny is currently an Apprentice, Level 2, in the PGA of America Apprentice Program. His aspiration is to become a PGA Class-A member in the near future. Sonny has had the privilege to learn by some of the top teaching professionals in Southern California. Sonny began his teaching career at Cresta Verde Golf Course upon earning his degree in Professional Golf Management from the Professional Golfers Career College. Sonny continues his activity in the industry. He is a Certified Golf Fitness Instructor (CGFI) with the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) and is a Certified Club Fitter with Titleist FittingWorks. His goals as a teaching professional is to allow the student to become aware of their tendencies and to be able to self correct those tendencies as they are needed. Sonny believes educating and teaching are the keys to learning, and the knowledge and skills learned are the doors to awareness. Anyone can learn and excel in the game of golf by adopting his basic fundamental philosophy!
